Louise Philia Druelle alias Loup Blaster

Louise Philia Druelle alias Loup Blaster (FR, °1992), daughter of a stringed-instrument maker from Calais, constantly explores the relation between sound and image.

After studying Cinematic Arts and Animation at the College of Art, Design and Textiles (ESAAT) in Roubaix, she started experimenting mixing traditional and digital techniques at the University of Volda in Norway. At the end of her studies, she started to work as an independent creator, making short films and music videos.

Ever since 2013, Loup Blaster has also been performing live (VJing), along with composers and beatmakers Horace Blaster & NUMéROBé.
She was represented by the Strange Beast studio (Passion Pictures) between 2014 and 2018.

In 2014, she joins the Late Night Work Club, a collective of international independent film makers, enabling her to release her 1st short film, ‘Al hurriya, Freedom’, tackling the issue of the refugees in Calais.

This theme was an obvious choice for the young artist who came back to her native city Calais to document and portray the exiled people living in the camp.  During the eviction of the biggest shanty town of Europe, she exposes her illustrated and animated documentary work in numerous cities of France, in connection with the manifesto DECAMPER.
