Neli Maraž
Neli Maraž (SI, °1992) is an audiovisual artist and creator. In 2014 she began to study Film and Television direction at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana, where she graduated in 2017 with the final thesis film ‘What Remains’. The short documentary ‘Back to Me(mories)’, the final project of her second study year, and the graduation film were screened at several festivals in Slovenia and abroad.
After graduation she co-wrote and directed the short documentary film ‘Kristjan’, a production of the national radio-television RTV Slovenia. ‘Kristjan’ received the first prize at the EBU Youth News Exchange in the category of special films for children and adolescents in Manchester and the special UNICEF award at the Prix Jeunesse International festival in Munich, the largest international festival for children and youth television content.
Neli works as a mentor and co-creator at several projects with Kinoatelje, an institution which operates in Italy and Slovenia as a multifunctional core for intercultural and cross-border projects in the field of film and audiovisual media.
